Integration

IM Control allows the integration for user authentication and for the history database. For user authentication your company can use your existing Active Directory database. For history database you can send all your logs to a Oracle or a MySQL(only for Linux and FreeBSD)

Active Directory Integration: the integration with active directory server can be done in two ways.

1. Keep All Hierarchy: this way you will import all the users and organizational units of the Active Directory. This is the most common way to configure because makes IM Control's database look very close to the AD's database.

2. Don't Keep Hierarchy: if the administrator prefer he can map each group on IM Control to a group on the Active Directory. This configuration allow to have a diferent organizational structure of what you have in AD.

The sincronization between IM Control and Active Directory is automatic, the only needed configuration is to create a task in the task scheduler, specifying what will be the interval between each sincronization.

Database Integration: the administrator can configure a database to send the records of sent messages. This way you can make a data mining tool that can access your database directly, instead of using IM Control pre-existing reports. IM Control always saves it's records in the internal database even if an external database is configured.
